A joint commission of lecturers and students is set up within each council of the academic structures, which has the following functions:

• formulation of teaching planning proposals;
• monitoring of the educational syllabus and of the quality of teaching, as well as the quality of the service of lecturers and researchers;
• identification of indicators for assessing the quality of teaching and of student services.

Each Commission includes lecturers designated by the Academic Senate and an equal number of representatives of the students already elected in the Council, in order to respect the different scientific-disciplinary areas of the Scuola. In the absence of student representatives of one or more areas, the Students’ Assembly will identify the students belonging to the areas which are not represented. Each Commission is established by Director’s decree and is chaired by one of the designated lecturers, who is elected by the student representatives of the commission itself. Each  joint commission meets at least twice in an academic year; the Director convenes the commissions in a joint meeting at least once every academic year.
